Michael & Will's TRI pix

Michael ran in his second TRI this past weekend.
He improved his time from last year and felt good the next day.
What else can you wish for?!

At the Finish Line!

Will got his own mini-TRI on Saturday.
He and Michael biked to one corner and back,
then ran to the other corner and back.
He was very pleased afterward - even got his own medal.
Go, Will!

Next year, we'll have two in the Tinker Tri - Will & Sophia.

Tinker Tri-Athlete

This weekend is the local Triathlon. Michael participated in this TRI last year - his very first. He is gearing up to do it again this weekend.
As a way to increase a love for the sport and to get kids moving, the Tri sponsors a Tinker Tri for kids 14 & under. It is broken up into 3 age groups. Soooo....Sophia took part in her first Tinker Tri this evening. She swam 25 yards (with life jacket on), biked 1/2 mile, then ran 1/4 mile - with Daddy beside her the whole way. She was super excited before and after! She can't wait for next year's event!

Guess who was sad that he didn't get to TRI?
Will gets to have his own athletic event tomorrow with Daddy & his own cheering squad, Mommy, Sophia & Nicholas!

Easter 2009

We spent Easter with Michael's Grandparents, Mike & Betty. Had a great visit, "hunted" eggs, saw Grandma & Grandpa, and made it to Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday Masses.

Trip to the Zoo

In March the kids and I took a trip to my hometown to visit my family. We also took the opportunity to go to the Zoo. Here are some favorite pictures.

My Cute Kids

Here are some recent snapshots of the kids being silly and cute...

Will is practicing his weight-lifting & balancing while Sophia balances a tray.
Will absolutely loves to wear his black hat and cap while playing with his hobby horse. Probably the best $10.00 I've ever spent.
Sophia posing as a model ... in a t-shirt & baggy pants:)

I sure hope he doesn't have a future in acting...
Nicholas is just too cute with his curls and stripey sweater.

Small Successes - 12

1. As I make bread almost daily in my bread machine, I've started pre-measuring the ingredients into my own "bread mixes." In the fridge & ready to bake!

2. I've enlisted the kids' help in sorting clean clothes. I dump the clothes in a big pile and they help me sort it into their own baskets, which makes it easier to get it folded and into the correct drawers.

3. As I am cleaning up after dinner, I make a lunch from leftovers for my husband's next day's lunch. Saves time and money.
