Sophia
Many of you know that we were married 4 years before our first baby was born. That three plus years of infertility was hard on us. I consider Sophia our miracle baby.

10th Anniversary
June 25th marks our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We have been marveling at how quickly the time has flown! I can honestly say that marriage only gets better and better.
Below are some photos from our wedding .... and us now.
(Sorry - I don't know how to scan these photos without the white edge.)
Happy Anniversary, Michael!

Scrapping...
I'm finally finishing up Will's Baby album. My version of the traditional baby album plus the next couple years. Okay - maybe just one more year. If I can get through the 2nd birthday, I'll consider the albums done!

I ran across some seriously cute photos of my two little guys that I wanted to post here....

Making memories
My kids and I made a memory today. A Mom memory. Something to file away in my mind and bring out to cherish when these little people in my charge are grown and gone.
In an effort to accelerate my weight loss, I've been walking or biking for about an hour every day. Some days, Nicholas and I go for a walk after dinner; some days we all bike together. Today, we went walking at the Mall. It was a little chilly outside and I thought the Mall might prove more interesting to the kids. After the first 30 minutes, Sophia was pretty bored and ready to leave. So, I started telling stories as we walked to pass the time. I told Three Little Pigs, my version of Kipling's Elephant Child and Sleeping Beauty (Disney version).
They loved it. They absolutely ate it up. Will sat back in the stroller, fingers laced behind his head, listening intently. Sophia chipped in lines here and there especially for Sleeping Beauty - her all-time favorite. She has memorized whole sections of the good fairies dialogue. Nicholas fell asleep - lulled by my voice and the walking.
The most ironic thing is that I am a terrible story-teller. Michael is the real story-teller in the family. I forget whole parts of the story, have to back track to fill in, then stumble back to the part we were at. It has to be a chore to listen to me. BUT they loved it. The last 3o minutes of the walk flew by. We had a blast. We made a memory to hold on to.
While the other unattended, unsupervised 6, 7, & 8 year olds were running from vending machine to game machine, plugging quarters in and using there newly acquired stretchy "sticky fingers" to hit banners hanging from the ceiling.
Parenting certainly has it's ups and downs. There are days I feel overwhelmed and discouraged. But not today. This was definitely a good day.
